Step 3: Resolving the Electrical Issue
- We repaired the short circuit and replaced the damaged fuse junction, ensuring the AdBlue control unit could receive consistent power.
- After restoring power, we reconnected the diagnostic tool to the AdBlue control unit and successfully re-established communication.
Step 4: Secondary Issue: AdBlue Delivery Pump
With the control unit operational, we detected another fault: the AdBlue delivery pump was stuck and non-functional. This pump is crucial for delivering the AdBlue solution to the vehicle’s exhaust system to reduce emissions.
Step 5: Replacing and Relocating the Pump
- Pump Replacement: We replaced the faulty AdBlue delivery pump with a new, high-performance unit.
